Imagine running out of diapers and having no money to buy more. Imagine not being able to afford soap to wash your baby’s clothes. For many mothers in vulnerable communities across Nigeria, this is not a once-in-a-while crisis — it is a daily reality.
Basic hygiene and essential household supplies are things most people take for granted. But for families living in extreme poverty, these items are luxuries they simply cannot afford. The consequences are serious. Poor hygiene leads to illness. Illness leads to missed school days and medical bills that push families deeper into poverty.
I-OPEN Kids’ Essential Supplies Programme addresses this challenge head-on.
Through this programme, we regularly distribute diapers, hygiene products, sanitary items, and other basic necessities to vulnerable mothers and children in the communities we serve. Our distribution is targeted, dignified, and consistent. We work to ensure that the families who need these supplies most are the ones who receive them.
But beyond the physical items, what we are really distributing is dignity. Every mother deserves to care for her child without shame or desperation. Every child deserves clean clothes, healthy skin, and a safe environment to grow in.
Our partners and donors make this programme possible. Every contribution — no matter how small — goes directly toward purchasing and distributing these essential supplies. When you support I-OPEN Kids, you are standing alongside a mother who is doing her absolute best in extraordinarily difficult circumstances.
That is worth everything.
